Prime Sash is now offering Residential Door repair!
Do you have Residential doors in your home that are in need of repair? Or just need to be finished?
We can strip all old finishes off of your Door and refinish it as you’d like! Or Leave them bare for you to apply the finish.
If your door needs woodworking we can do that too!
Depending on the project and our workload we can have the door turned over in 1-2 weeks.
What’s the process?
We can pick up and drop of the doors if you’d like or they can also be delivered to our shop at Grandview business center.
-Pick up the door.
-Remove it the hinge pins.
-Install Plywood in opening.
In the shop
-If painted, we heat strip majority of paint from the door. If there is a clear finish we dry scrap as much as we can.
-Finish the door with a chemical stripper.
-Let the door dry and sand the door taking great care to maintain the profiles when sanding.
-Then apply finishes. Oil prime, sand the primer, and then paint working with brushes.
-We can remove paint and go back to a wood bearing finish as well!
Pricing
Paint stripping is billed at $100/hr. +Materials and can take 5 hours to strip on average.
With sanding and finish work this can add another 5-10 hours depending on what finishes are used.
